Room 16 have been working on art with a flower power theme which links to our performance music set in the 1970's.
To prepare our sunflowers we looked at different pictures, then sketched in pencil and then painted our sunflowers using two different yellow's and gold paint. We then went over the outline in black and we will do the back ground to finish them off. We have also been using special pens to do "Hippy Art" on black plastic bags.
All these art pieces will be displayed at the "Tawa School Arts Festival" in week 10.
Tickets are on sale for our production and they are selling fast so purchase them soon. Thank you to the Room 16 parents who have sent in their black trousers/tights and black t-shirts for the performance.
Here are some photos from our artwork.
