Week 10 - Final week!

Wow we are nearly at the end of the term.  School finishes at 1pm tomorrow.

Please take the time to encourage your child to read over the holidays and to read to them.  The holidays is a perfect time to foster the love of reading.

I have enjoyed teaching your children this year and I think they are all wonderful, caring, creative, happy and intelligent people. I look forward to seeing them grow and develop over the next few years. Have a wonderful holiday and I will see you all back at school next year.

Today we finished our christmas tree decorations and they look great.  We also had our Blast off celebrations.  The year two students who are moving onto the middle syndicate next year chose two of their favourite photo pages from their blue folders.  They talked about why they like those pages and then they stand up on my chair and they jump up to the middle of the room to a 3, 2, 1 blast off from the other students.  Check out the photos:

Room 16 looked amazing in their costumes today.

Exercise books and some art will be going home tomorrow so please bring a plastic bag to school to take it all home.

Week 9 - Tawa School trip to H20 Extreme

We had a great trip today to H20 Extreme and every member of Room 16 managed themselves well and remembered to be respectful and responsible, not to mention have an awesome amount of fun!

Reports will go home on Friday so keep a look out for those.  We will also be starting to send art and exercise books home so brace yourself.  If you could send your child to school with a plastic bag to bring it all home that would be great.

We have the Book Character Dress Up day tomorrow (Wednesday) and our walk to Grasslees Park on Friday, if the weather is fine.
