Week 7 - Island Bay trip

Wow, what an amazing trip.  It was wonderful to see Room 16 students being so excited.  They were lifting rocks and finding crabs, starfish and little fish.

Then our trip into the Aquarium where we got to hold and examine all sorts of water creatures.  There was an opportunity for some students to feed turtles.  A giant octopus was a sight to see and all manner of fish including seahorses.

What a successful trip.  All Room 16 students managed themselves well and loved the play at the Shorland Park at the end.  Many thanks to Jay and Leah who accompanied us on the trip.

Well done everyone.  We will all sleep well tonight.

Just a reminder that this is the last week of spelling words going home.  Next week will be the last week of reading books going home.  Swimming is on Monday as normal at 1.30pm.

Finally, on Friday afternoon the carpet layers are pulling up our carpet from 2pm so we will be in Room 12 for the end of the day.  I will walk the students back to outside our class at 3pm.  We will be back in there as normal on Monday morning.

Check out our photos!
