Today we had fun celebrating the great efforts of the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup. The class watched some footage of the NZ games so far. We also watched a clip about the history of the Rugby World Cup. Students came up with a long list of verbs or 'action' words as we call them to describe the play. One of the writing groups also included a simile in their writing to compare the players to something fast, strong or high.
We completed different activities such as designing a new All Black t-shirt, Rugby World Cup word find and counting different sports balls and matching flags to the correct country. Finally, we went out and did some amazing kicking, speedy running, passing and catching. We were awesome!!
Go the All Blacks on Sunday morning. Room 16 are all behind you.

Looks like we have some future all blacks in Room 16!
